What book would you love to see made into a movie or television show and do you have actors/actresses in mind to play the main characters?
I am currently in love with Peace Like a River by Leif Enger (review here). Solely for the fact that I am SO in love with it, I do not think I’d like to see it made into a movie…I am sure I would be disappointed.
I think Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs (review here) would make a great movie, but I am not sure who I would like to see cast. I think it would be best to do as they did with Harry Potter and cast unknown children. (Can you even remember when Daniel Radcliffe was not a household name?!)
What has been your favorite moment (scene) in a book that you’ve read so far in 2012? Please be kind & not include spoilers.
I am about to show you just how much of a nerd I am.
I immediately thought of two scenes, both from non-fiction. Yes, non-fiction. Not even “the true story of a real-life Indiana Jones” kind of non-fiction…they are medical books. Wow, I am even nerdier than I thought.
The first is from Deadly Choices: How the Anti-Vaccine Movement Threatens Us All and it tells the story of a 15 year old (unvaccinated) girl who goes on a 10 day international mission trip and is exposed to measles. The second is from Stuff: Compulsive Hoarding and the Meaning of Things and it is regarding the Collyer Brothers of New York….no spoilers, but, wow. I guess truth IS stranger than fiction!
