FF 2012 Feature & Follow #83
What would your prefer: reading your favorite book over and over again until you got sick of it
OR reading 100s of mediocre books? And why?
 
My first thought was a favorite book over and over, but now I’m not so sure.  Even in a “mediocre” book you can often find a gem- maybe just one line of text, a fleeting secondary character or even the feel of the actual physical book.  I think I would take my chances with lots of books and just keep searching for the gem.
What are some of your favorite fictional love stories?
Noah and Allie from Nicholas Sparks’ The Notebook.  So perfect.
 
And, from the cinema, Tom and Peter from The Talented Mr. Ripley.  Peter loves him for who is really is, but Tom can’t be that person. So tragic.

    I have one pretty bad (overall) book that I like to reread for a certain scene somewhere in the middle. And because the rest of the thing makes me feel better about myself ;)
